The filling of the 400 gsm winter quilt, doona is designed with two internal layers of 200 gsm of pure fine merino wool, grown on Kangaroo Island, Australia. The two internal 200 gsm layers creates an air pocket to optimize the quilt's thermal performance. This quilt is lighter than traditional winter weight wool quilts yet has excellent thermal ratings plus an outstanding warmth to weight ratio.
The 1836 Merino 400 quilt is ideal for mild winters and cooler climates and those sleepers who need extra warmth without the weight of heavy wool quilts or blankets.
The 1836 Merino wool 400 quilts are covered with a superfine 100% Tencel sateen fabric, exclusively designed by Kelly & Windsor. If required your quilt, pillow or underblankets can be dry cleaned, P40. Please talk with your dry cleaner to make sure that they understand what they are cleaning. If you have it dry cleaned, please thoroughly air afterwards.
Do not allow the quilt, doona, pillow or underblanket to become damp or wet.
